This beautiful necklace combines the gorgeous barrel weave chain in sterling silver with a seed beading technique incorporating gemstone chips. The result is a very tactile necklace that is so comfortable to wear you hardly know you are wearing it! There is a wide choice of gemstone chips to choose from, in a great selection of stones including tourmaline, lapis lazuli, aventurine, and iolite. This necklace is sure to get you compliments each and every time that you wear it, even from total strangers!

We will cover finishing techniques, including the addition of your chosen clasp, with emphasis on strength. It is unlikely that you will finish this necklace in class, although you should complete at least half of it.

As clasps are very personal to the wearer, we include a simple yet sturdy bolt ring clasp with each of our workshops as our gift to you and always have a lovely selection of clasps available for purchase which cater for a variety of needs, preferences and tastes should you wish to personalise your creation.

This workshop includes all the materials required to complete this tactile necklace.

Previous experience: Some mailling experience would be an advantage but not absolutely necessary. The seed bead technique isn’t difficult, and although some experience would be helpful, this also isn’t necessary.
