Today we have added 0.7 mm sterling silver wire to our “Other Supplies” page. It is available in lengths of 5 feet. The fine silver wire isn’t lonely any more!

You will now find hand made ball-end fine silver headpins on our “Other Supplies” page. The headpins are made from fine silver wire with a diameter of 0.5 mm and are approximately 1.75 “ long. As they are hand made, one at a time, no two will be exactly alike and there will be slight variations in length. These are perfect for small holed beads, and don’t tarnish like sterling silver can. They are available in packs of 50.

We have added an “Other Supplies” section, which at the moment just has one lonely item - 10 feet lengths of fine silver wire, 0.3 mm in diameter and round in cross section. This will shortly be joined by sterling silver wire, (0.7mm in diameter), sterling silver earwires, sterling silver headpins and fine silver headpins. You can take a look here.

Our copper wire supplier has ceased to trade, so we have found another supplier who we are very happy with. From today, all copper rings will be made with wire from the new supplier. The new 1.2 mm copper wire is now actually 1.25 mm - a baby gnat’s whisker difference, so small you won’t even notice!

Today sees the addition of our tools page. We have included a budget range of pliers with extremely comfortable ergonomic handles at very affordable prices, and a pair of C.K. chain-nose pliers at a bargain price.

We have added details of the combined Turkish Roundmaille and Roundmaille workshop to be held on June 29. In this combined workshop you will learn both weaves, and after having made a little of each using copper jump rings you will make a sterling silver bracelet in your choice of either Turkish Roundmaille or Roundmaille. Please see here for details.

 

You will also find a new, very sturdy, lobster clasp on the clasp page. It comes complete with a strong 1.2/3.5 mm jump ring for attaching to your creation, or if you are adding it to chain maille you can attach it by utilising a ring from your weave if that is more appropriate. It’s a hefty chunky monkey!
