Forars Kaede is a truely beautiful Scandanavian weave. It is a stunning, dense weave that is both elegant and timeless. This is a chain that will go with anything from a smart outfit to jeans and a tee shirt.
As well as making a gorgeous bracelet, this weave looks terrific as a necklace or a lariat. Although this workshop is taught in the context of a bracelet, extra rings will be available to buy should you wish to “keep going” and make either a necklace or a lariat.

We will cover finishing techniques, including the addition of your chosen clasp, with emphasis on strength. Most students will finish their bracelet in class.
As clasps are very personal to the wearer, we include a simple yet sturdy bolt ring clasp with each of our workshops as our gift to you and always have a lovely selection of clasps available for purchase which cater for a variety of needs, preferences and tastes should you wish to personalise your creation.
This workshop includes enough materials to make a medium weight sterling silver Forars Kaede bracelet up to 8.5 inches in length.
Previous experience: A working knowledge of at least one other chain maille weave is essential.
